In my prototype I used foods that go bad quickly so I had to use foods that would last longer with out going bad so I made a plan of what I would put into the 'O'. Which is made from acetate cut out and taped together.

Mind Map and Research

I changed my word to Obesity as I think it for have more possibilities.Obesity Mind map and some research on Obesity and research on foods that we think are good for us but are not such are sugary cereal 

O and Out

Drawing the Letter 'O'

                I had decided to go with the word Out as in people going Out of the country.

State Of The Nation

We were all given a letter and the letter I got was 'O' we has to pick a word that started with 'O' that relates to the current state of the nation. I did some mind maps and started looking a words that started with 'O'.

          

I picked four words that thought were best and did a mind map for each to decided which was best

 This is the alarm idea using different text sixes, and different shades of red .

Detecting Detect

I liked the top left idea making the word into a cctv camera but I thought it wasn't obvious enough.

Playing around with the alarm idea and repeating text using colour and different size and thickness of text.

The left one is a drawing of the dna strand and the right is a version of the alarm idea done in photoshop I wanted to continue this idea using different colours and text sizes.

 Playing around with the idea of the Crime scene and finger prints and the bottom right corner detecting mould.














I did some colour drawings of the dna strands and I also did some drawing using the alarms/beams as the text.

Failed attempt with smoke but I likes the look of the letters :)

Typography!

Here I painted my hands with red paint and wrote out the words with my fingers.

 Here I used just one finger print in the word and i drew the text more rounded , I also used the text to form a magnifying glass and repeated the word to make up a finger print and a hand.

Here i used the magnifying glass to make up the "t" which was too illustrative as the brief say we can only use text. I wrote the word backwards and placed a mirror beside to read the word.

Here I played with the idea of smoke and again using the lie detector through the word and again using the idea of the finger print. I also used the heat detection camera through the letters. I drew out a dna strand using text also.
