Naked Raku
First you dip the piece in a slip and then you dip the piece in a crackle glass the slip is so the glaze can be chipped off,The kiln is heated to 1,000 and then you take out the clay pieces and put them into bins of saw dust you then put more saw dust into the bins and then place the lid on top and leave it for 30mins and they you take them out and chip off the glaze and the naked Raku is left underneath. This process is repeated for the just glaze firing you just don't chip off the glass as you can't with no slip underneath
Painting/ glazing bowls
We used underglaze to glade the bowls and I also used the underglaze on 5 of the boxes then we went to the glaze room and dipped the bows in lead less transparent glaze we used a things and dipped them in a bucket then they were fired
