Detecting my final Ideas!

Final Ideas 

 This is the alarm idea using different text sixes, and different shades of red .

This Image is my final image that I went with.

Detecting Detect

I liked the top left idea making the word into a cctv camera but I thought it wasn't obvious enough.

Playing around with the alarm idea and repeating text using colour and different size and thickness of text.

The left one is a drawing of the dna strand and the right is a version of the alarm idea done in photoshop I wanted to continue this idea using different colours and text sizes.

 Playing around with the idea of the Crime scene and finger prints and the bottom right corner detecting mould.














I did some colour drawings of the dna strands and I also did some drawing using the alarms/beams as the text.

Failed attempt with smoke but I likes the look of the letters :)

Typography!

Here I painted my hands with red paint and wrote out the words with my fingers.

 Here I used just one finger print in the word and i drew the text more rounded , I also used the text to form a magnifying glass and repeated the word to make up a finger print and a hand.

Here i used the magnifying glass to make up the "t" which was too illustrative as the brief say we can only use text. I wrote the word backwards and placed a mirror beside to read the word.

Here I played with the idea of smoke and again using the lie detector through the word and again using the idea of the finger print. I also used the heat detection camera through the letters. I drew out a dna strand using text also.

Here I did some rendering and started drawing the text by hand !

 Here I did the test like a lie detector test and like a xray and I also drew the text like an army font.

More Detect Ideas 

 More Ideas for the word detect, metal detectors, smoke detector heat seeking camera telescope detecting something in the sky, someone going through a luggage detector :)

 Here an Interrogation room and fingerprint a detective and a sniffer dog :)

 Face detection, x ray detecting drugs inside someone, a tsunami detector a compass to detect where you are a heat seeking camera view of a house and a map of how tornados are detected.

Metal detectors, then using the scamper method a detecting a detective detecting :) a dog with a metal detector as a head (looked a lot better in my head). And then the dog with his nose as a detector.

Detect, Detect and Detect

We were also given our words that we would be working with for the week the would I got was Detect We all started off by doing a mind map. I worked on the mind map for a while and then we started doing small sketches of some of the things that visually represented our words. That evening we were thought about the scamper method and we were to incorporate that into or work :)

 This is where I started doing small sketches, sketching what instantly came to mind when I think of the word detect such as a magnifying glass, cctv cameras, crime scenes and detectives, night vision for detecting, alarms detecting intruders.

 Then I was looking at some stuff not so obvious to come peoples minds like detecting weapons or drugs in airport x rays, lie detector tests and detecting boms using scanners and a heat seeking missile detecting where to go (evidence of watching too much History channel)
